Ultramag have recently completed an Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement survey to the first of four Cargo ships operated from Marchwood.
All four vessels are Lloyds Register Classified and require an LR Approved Organisation to perform the Hull Survey under their Rules and Regulations.
The Company has five Ultrasonic PCN Level 2 Supervisors, experienced in Hull Surveys, and can perform Thickness Measurements both nationally and worldwide.
Ultramag have successfully passed their Bureau Veritas re-Approval for Thickness Measurements to Hull Structures. This now gives five Approvals for Thickness Measurements.
This week the Company has a UKAS audit for Notified Body status. Once Accredited, and following the move of its Welding Technology department to Rushington, work will start on a mechanical testing facility.
Ultramag will be opening a new facility in Rushington, Southampton for Mechanical Testing, Material Evaluation, Pressure Testing & Aerospace N.D.T.
The new premises will provide better testing capabilities, enable a swifter turnaround time and ensure room for further expansion over the years ahead.
Ultramag’s Headquarters, general N.D.T. and Training Centre will remain at Marchwood.
Ultramag are pleased to announce we now have RINA Approval for Thickness Measurements to Hull Structures.
We have been carrying out N.D.T. for several months on a R.I.N.A. vessel in Southampton, and will now be able to conduct the Hull Survey later this year.
Ultramag recently had a successful UKAS re-certification audit and are moving forwards with plans for a mechanical testing facility and N.D.T. Accreditation.
