Welding Procedure Qualification & Welder Qualification Tests

As a third party organisation and test house, one of our services is conducting Welding Procedure Qualification tests and Welder Qualification tests; along with welding trials and welder training.

For welding procedures & welder tests we use qualified engineering technicians who are Senior Welding Inspectors, CSWIP or AWS Certified Welding Inspectors and IIW Welding Technologists or Specialists. Overseeing this we have a Level 3 BINDT Registered Consultant and an IIW Welding Technologist.

The main weld procedure & welder qualification tests standards are:

  • EN ISO 15609
  • EN ISO 15613
  • EN ISO 15614
  • EN ISO 9606
  • AWS D1.1
  • BS 4872
  • ASME IX
  • ISO 24394

Mechanical testing is carried out either In-house or on behalf of Ultramag by another UKAS approved test laboratory.

We also offer classroom training for welders and welding co-ordinators or practical welder training at your premises followed by testing if required.
