Our Apprentices are well into their Non-Destructive projects following the B.I.N.D.T. Engineering Technician Standards apprenticeship.

We aim to take on at least one further apprentice through 2021 who will follow a mechanical testing apprenticeship.

Ultramag have successfully passed the ISO 14001 audit, with no Recommendations. We have been working towards this for several years are delighted to have achieved our goal.

In September we were successful with our re-approval by Bureau Veritas for performing Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement surveys to their vessels and marine structures.

Over the next 12 months we shall be investing in several Advanced N.D.T. techniques; with Computed Radiographic Testing (C.R.T.) already being used by our radiographers.

Ultramag have joined forces with Rapid Welding to support their new Welding Warrior competition, donating a prize fund of £60 worth of M&S vouchers.

By simply sharing a picture of your best welding work or latest welding project, you could be in with a chance of winning. The first winner of 2020 has already been chosen.

The next Welding Warrior competition has already been launched on Rapid’s Facebook page. To take part, visit: https://www.facebook.com/RapidWelding/
