One of our specialised services is acting as Responsible Welding Co-ordinator to ISO 14731 and ISO 3834. We also conduct welding procedure approval tests and welder qualification tests; in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, as an independent inspection body. The main standards for approval are EN 288, EN ISO 15614, EN 287, EN ISO 9606, AWS D1.1, BS 4872 and ASME IX.
For Welding Procedures and Welder Tests the Company use qualified personnel who are CSWIP Welding Inspectors or Senior Welding Inspectors, IIW Welding Inspectors, AWS Certified Welding Inspectors with procedure writing from our Registered Consultant.
All mechanical testing is carried out on behalf of Ultramag by UKAS approved test laboratories.
We also offer practical welder training at clients premises followed by testing if required. Alternatively both practical and classroom welder training at our premises. We can provide necessary equipment and consumables or you may bring your own welding plant, materials and consumables.
