Power - Petro/Chemical Industries
Ultramag have been working with the power- petro/chemical industries for many years. All work undertaken is carried out by our trained personnel. We have recently started investigating providing N.D.T. for the inspection of wind turbine blades and the moulds that they are transported in and our most recent project is with Siemens on the Marchwood CCGT Plant.
Aerospace and Defence
Ultramag have performed NDT methods for the aerospace and defence industries for many years. New Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant equipment has been set up in separate inspection areas, along with much improved viewing and packing areas. The company has C.A.A. approval for its NDT methods.
Material Stockists
An increasingly busy field of work is the testing of parent material and welding along with 3rd Party Verification of certificates. Test methods include: Alloy Verification, Positive Material Identification, Chemical Analysis, Hardness testing, Ferrite testing, Spark testing and Magnetic Permeability testing.
Amusement Parks
Ultramag have been involved with the inspection of amusement parks since our very beginning. Inspections can be carried out on new and in-service components. Due to this specialised work the Company is a member of N.A.F.L.I.C. and is also registered with the A.D.I.P.S. Scheme.
Marine Sector
Ultramag have been specialising in the surveying of shipping structures for many years. We are recognised by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and M.O.D. and hold approvals from I.A.C.S. members. Extensive Hull surveys are undertaken internally and externally, either in dry dock or whilst at sea and in close corporation with the surveyor. Also marine vessels and structures can be surveyed using a variety of NDT methods
