We are full members of the British Institute of Non Destructive Testing and use Level 2 and Level 3 inspectors for NDT and Welding Procedures. Our Level 3 and registered consultants provide guidance and training in:
- Quality Control
- Weld Procedure & Welder Tests
- Welder training
- Identifying weld defects
Ultramag is also a member of the Service Inspection Group. Approvals are held for Thickness Measurements to Hull Structures from the following organisation: Det Norske Veritas, Bureau Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd, R.I.N.A. and American Bureau of Shipping; with overall approval from I.A.C.S. The Company also holds several client approvals for the testing of Aerospace components.
The company’s technicians have the following qualifications & memberships:
PCN – Personnel Certification in Non-Destructive Testing, ASNT – American Society of Non-Destructive Testing, TWI – The Welding Institute, CSWIP – Certification Scheme for Welding & Inspection Personnel, AWS – American Welding Society, EWF – European Welding Federation, IIW - International Institute of Welding.
